still waiting

Well, we're still here in Washington waiting for the south winds to ease, which at this point looks like it won't be until next Monday. On the bright side, we'll get to experience "Makah Days" which is a weekend long Makah celebration.......canoe races, native dancing, a parade the length of main street (maybe a 1/4 mile long). Lots of people selling stuff. The local barista told me that even some Peruvian natives come up here. Hmmm. Don't get that connection, but, whatever. You may be able to tell from my tone that I'm feeling a little blue. Miss my kids, the weather sucks and there's nothing to do except whip the ends of about 100 little pieces of rope used to reef the main sail. I'm going crossed-eye from looking at the ends of these minuscule pieces of rope. Scott, on the other hand is in 7th heaven for all the same reasons (no kids and nothing to do but boat projects). God help me. Did Scott mention that this is a "Dry" reservation? All I wanted was one beer. Oh, well. We may take a walk to the beach (3.5 miles away) but it's been pissing steadily since this morning. Thank God for foul weather gear, eh? Hopefully our next entry will have juicier information in it! Ta ta for now.
