Monterey

We had a fun reach across the Monterey Bay yesterday. The kids both took turns hand steering for an evolving set of reasons. Timothy insisted on reading in the cockpit and after about 15 minutes started to feel queasy and we had him steer to get him looking out of the boat and feeling better. Finn of course can do everything his brother can, so he insisted on steering and while paying attention really has a good feel for it. The wind vane took over while Mary napped until the kids started to get bored and wrestle in the cockpit. When my temper couldn't take it any more, they started hand steering again. This might be a good thing!
We are anchored off Monterey with sea otters gamboling in the water and pelicans floating by as we catch up on chores. Laundry this morning and planning on hitting the downtown farmers market on the way back to the boat.
Big day tomorrow, the Aquarium!
