Eve of departure (Laundry held hostage)
16 March 2009
Scott
Friends visited, family came, a very few hectically busy days later and we are now ready to take off and sail across the Pacific. It has been a whirlwind of activity, we are exhausted, and have moved completely though the each stage of denial, delight, and valium dosing. The boat is stuffed to the gills with everything that we think we need for many months. The weather window is here, breeze is great and ready or not here we go...except... the laundry lady has almost all of our clothes and she is now closed for a three day national holiday. We can see the clothes sitting on the shelf neatly folded in the plastic bags. It would be pretty comic actually if not for the emotional roller coaster that Mary has been on for the last couple of days, for all of our sanity it is time to get going before she changes her mind.
We will keep everyone posted and hopefully the next entries will be from mid Pacific.
