Arriving at Blue Lagoon
23 December 2007 | St. Vincent's
Captain James - Sunny 84 deg. F
Arrived at Blue Lagoon, St. Vincent's close to noon Saturday December 8th 2007. Weather hot and sunny, the winds moderate 10 - 11 knots. The Blue Lagoon marina is surrounded by a peninsula to the east and reefs both south and west. There is a small gap in the reef marked with poles to allow vessels to come in and out. The marina itself is fully stocked with charter yachts of all sizes and styles. Our charter company for this voyage is TMM Charters. They share the facilities with Sunsail and Footloose Charters. We opted to arrive one day early and stay at the Hotel near the marina. First thing though; a hot shower and then head for the bar upstairs to down a few rums. The five of us had a wonderful dinner cooked by Chef Taylor. Since our chef had the same last name I counted it as a good omen. I just happened to have my Taylor coat of arms pin that I picked up in Ireland in August, I gave it to our Chef Taylor as a keepsake and a kind of a welcoming to the clan gesture. A lovely evening breeze passed through the open restaurant. We are all looking forward to meeting up with the rest of our party Sunday and getting out on the Carribean Sea. Next stop Bequia.
