More Ice
Last night we saw the super moon reflecting so beautifully on the ICW and this morning we saw the trees across the ICW reflecting so beautifully off the ICE. Amazing, last night the ICW was liquid and this morning ice. Captain Dana of "Plastic Toy" (tied off ahead of us) and Captain Tom of "Bonnie Jean" (tied off behind us) both ran their engines to break up the ice. The ice was thick and although both captains were succesful and broke the ice, not only around their vessels but also around ours, the water 15 ft out from all of us remained frozen all day. It is cold and according to weather forecast it is going to get colder but not before it snows. Yes, snow again. Predictions are for a minimum of 3 inches and a maximum of 10 inches. Greg walked to the hardware store and purchased another cube heater while I stayed with the girls and did some cleaning. We thought it would be best to have a second cube heater on board encase we should need it. The snow is suppose to start early evening tomorrow and end Thursday but then the winds are going to blow greater than 24 mph. Tomorrow we are going to prepare the decks for snow and walk to the store for a few last minute items before the snow (hopefully). It is evening now and all has frozen over again. It is warm and toasty here in the cabin with our diesel furnace and cube heater and as I write this Greg and the girls are all fast asleep.
