Good Morning Tug
We were awaken around 05:30 to the alarm of our AIS (automatic identification system). A look above decks and the AIS confirmed our anchor was not dragging - all was quiet and well. We were anchored on the ICW outside of the Charleston area where there is a lot of commercial ship/boat traffic. Our AIS indicated a vessel over 5 nm away on the move. Around 06:15 we were quickly awaken again, but this time to a tug pushing a barge past our boats. The tug and barge passed to port of sv Surrender. We were anchored out of the channel ("more" out of the channel then sv Surrender) but it didn't matter it was still an "oh s___" moment. After recovering we weighed anchor and motored on. It was a great day we motored/sailed from the Stono River near Johns Island making great progress we tied off at the Beaufort Town Dock Marina just after sunset.
