Bimini, Bahamas

windy from the north but sunny and 71*
Dear Friends and Family,
Yes, it's us again. We've been doing our thing, left Maine in early September to get south to Annapolis as there was a boat show and gam to get to. While there we spotted a Pacific Seacraft 40, a boat we had seen in Washington, NC. It was not the specific boat but a sister ship but at the time it was not possible. We looked at this boat for several days before deciding the extra space would be nice. My knitting had taken up lots of room on the Robinhood 36! We also named this new boat Abner E as Mike felt we hadn't had the name long enough.
Purchasing the new-to-us boat slowed us down getting south but we did make it to Beaufort/Lady's Island for Christmas and enjoyed being with our friends.
We left after Mike's birthday to head south and get to the Bahamas this year. Stopped at St. Augustine to see our friend, Woody. My cousin, Jay from Gainesville came up and we had lunch together and Stasi came. We enjoyed a very nice dinner with her at Columbia, one of our all time favorites restaurants.
We traveled down the ICW from St. Augustine to Miami where we crossed over to Bimini last Monday. We are headed to the southern islands with a group of friends.
I am pleading blogger's block as to my reason for not blogging since last August. My mother died last August right after I blogged and I guess not much else was important. Mike has tried but now I'm feeling better. I hope you all understand.
My goal is to blog frequently and with short posts.
We are thinking of all of you.
Hugs,
Ivy
