Sailing in Abundance - Live Your Dream

6/1/15 Ok, well time (and I mean lots of time since I haven't worked for 2 months) has a way of giving you the opportunity or the curse to soul search. I am more relaxed now than when I started this adventure. My hair is longer, my skin is darker, I love my husband more and I have a deeper faith in God's provisions. I am learning to set the sails, navigate the chart books and the water and take deeper breaths before I react to things. I think everyone should set on the back of the boat with 3 fishing lines in this azure blue water and recount the last few days of life. Here it goes:

May 16-17- Moved to Black Point Settlement on Great Guana Cay. Did laundry-Let me tell you what that entails- I put the dirty laundry into 1 or 2 sail bags (big nylon bag used to store sails) along with detergent and anti-cling sheets. We schlep the bags into the dingy to get to shore. Tie up the dingy on a beach or dock and then carry the bags to the laundromat. Set around for about 1.5 hours and reverse the process after spending about $25 bucks. Then we found a cheeseburger at Lorraine's and did some light grocery shopping in 2-3 VERY small stores. Small islands have small amenities.
Sunday morning found David and me in a Bahamian church. Man, could those people worship! There was a female pastor that delivered a lovely sermon. I got my picture with her. Later that day we went for a "cruiser buffet." We were sitting at the next to last table to get in line and the ribs ran out. (Makes you want to run around and count the rib bones on other people's plates and backhand the ones that have 5-6 bones on!).Had plenty of food though.

May 18-Along with Ric and Sherry on Sheric, we moved further south to Cave Cay.
David Copperfield, the Magician, owns some of the islands around there. He placed a stainless steel sculpture of a piano and mermaid in about 12 feet of water. Snorkeled around it as we took pictures and swam against the current.

May 19-27- On the way down to Georgetown, we caught 2 skipjack tuna. We ate on those fish for the next week with sashimi right on the spot, followed by 2 meals of grilling and 3 lunches of tuna melts. Sorry Charlie!
