Sunny!
We've spend the last 2 weeks recommissioning the boat and correcting damage from the vicious climate of San Carlos. We quickly found that our batteries had died, as well as our dinghy. The "deflatable" dinghy is our pickup truck, used for transportation to shore, visiting neighbors, fishing, diving, buying supplies, and recreation, so there was no choice but to get a replacement.
We ordered a new dinghy and house batteries to be shipped to Vicki's cousin in Phoenix. Now we'll have to drive 8+ hours to Phoenix. We'll take a couple of extra days to visit with Vicki's coursins, Sherry & Ahn, and get a break from long work days. Also, our friends Andy & Nancy, from Ensenada will be driving through Phoenix about the same time so we hope to meet.
In the meantime, we are very tired from working long days in the desert heat. We painted the bottom an odd green color of anti-fouling paint. The bottom paint is formulated to inhibit marine growth (barnacles, worms, etc) that would quickly take over every square inch and slow us down to a crawl.
It's a Wonderful Life - On Adesso!
