Marvelous!
We are rested are really enjoying the beauty and tranquility of Punta de Mita. We are surrounded by sea life. We went swimming off the stern today and were surprised to find that there are many hundreds of 4 to 9 inch fish hiding under Adesso's hull, to escape the numerous diving birds that want to eat them. The birds dive into the water for the birds, splashing loudly only 2 feet from our hull.

The photo shows one of hazards of sailing in less developed countries. The navigation charts are off by as much as 3 miles and the chart of Punta de Mita shows us to anchored solidly ashore. So, if we are solidly ashore, why are there hundreds of fish beneath us?

On the blue part of the chart there should be many numbers indicating depth of the water. But, there aren't any. We have to be extremely careful when approaching land, because of lack of knowledge about depths. Fortunately, there are other cruising guides that give reasonably good information for certain anchorages.

It's a Wonderful Life - On Adesso!
