Just the two of us again - good-bye Pat & Connie

Today we woke up early as usual, even though we could have slept longer, and the coffee was brewing. Bob prepared breakfast – eggs, potatoes and sausage. Connie & Pat stripped their bed and started doing laundry and Pat took a golf cart to the store to replenish our supplies. Bob & I did not know what they were doing and certainly did not expect either but it was very nice – you guys rock! Bob & I had already decided to spend another night at the marina to get ready for our next journey but Clawsons were one step ahead of us. We were so glad they joined us on the trip, we shared some great memories and we travel so well together. Vickie really enjoyed having Pat take over her first-mate position for a few days – Thanks Pat! Today the temperature is not bad but it has been raining on and off and the flies have become a pest. Bob hung a fly glue strip in the cabin and Vickie managed to get her hair caught twice (she washed and fixed her hair 3 times today – prior to today, it had been quite a few days- not saying!). As we waited on Clawson’s rental car to arrive we took a golf cart into town and had a very nice lunch. We all hugged, took a few photos and told each other “Have a safe trip and see you soon”. It is so nice to have such great friends and their visit was awesome!
We don’t get much information from home but we would like to offer our condolences to Stephanie & Trent Stephan, and to Jackie & family. I always enjoyed talking to Ted and our thoughts and prayers are with you - he will be missed by many!.
