Sailing with Bob & Vickie

Bob lets the crew sleep in today but at 9:35am it is time to get moving. It is still a bit windy but thanks to Bruce, our slip neighbor, he is ready to assist in our departure - he really doesn't want Serendipity to kiss his Hunter sailboat goodbye. We back out of the slip but the wind catches us and swings the bow the wrong way. We ended up backing out from between the docks. Not real professional looking but at least we didn't hit anything! We encounter another beautiful day traveling the east coast of Florida by way of the ICW. Our flag has taken a major beating this trip but last night she really became tattered and torn so we pulled her down, folded appropriately and replaced with a new flag. At 3:25pm we arrive at Eau Gallie Yacht Basin just before the rain. Our slip is facing a wider expanse of water on the Eau Gallie River and the pelicans are diving out of the sky into the water for fish - Very awesome watching them make a big splash. There are basically no amenities but the area is actually very pretty. We will stay on the boat, computer stuff, have dinner on the boat and enjoy our surroundings. We are off to Vero Beach tomorrow-can't wait to have Teresa & Denny aboard our pride and joy.
