Well, we did it! We are finally back where this whole adventure started on Aug 27, 2015 at our home port at St. Joseph, MI. We have put 1,184 hours on Serendipity and traveled about 5,000 miles in three years (with frequent months at home) and we are still speaking to each other. [...]

Three Days in Grand Haven - This place earns her name!
We spend three days in Grand Haven, MI and we await a weather opening to bring Serendipity to St. Joseph, MI, where this adventure began. We love Grand Haven and are entertained each evening with a phenomenal water light show.

Doing the Turtle Crawl on Green Turtle Cay
Start out with eggs, fried potatoes and sausage on the boat. Then we rent a golf cart to explore. 1st stop is Pineapples Bar & Grill (about 10:30 AM) Eugene serves us fruity tropical drinks and we dance to Caribbean music by the water with a black lab (Shadow) grabbing conch shells from the water and making a pile on the beach. Next a trip to beaches surrounding the island then to the City of Plymouth Rock to shop (Connie purchases a turtle charm for a necklace and Bob picks out turtle earrings for Vickie) and we have our next cocktail at Harveys by the water. Our next stop is at Leeward Yacht Club where Roxie treats us like royalty - time for the drink of the day - Leaping Lizard. It is here that we find out about the Turtle Crawl - drinking a different drink at each bar (10 altogether) - we have already hit 3 today so what the heck? Roxie recommends Coco Beach to watch the sea turtles and Connie is adamant that we stop there to see the turtles and we are glad we made the trip (stingray & turtles). On to Tranquil Turtle at Bluff House Beach Marina to continue our crawl and have snacks. Okay we have made it through 4 today so we call it quits and crawl back to the boat - another beautiful day of fun and adventure in the Bahamas.
