Love our G-Men!

May 14, 2018 -We leave Cape May at 6:30 AM and soon are on the Atlantic. Not bad but glad we have our items below secured - not for those who get a little queasy. We consider stopping at Atlantic City or going farther but we finally vote to stop at Historic Garden Basin Marina at Atlantic City. It is not as expected and just as we are about to pull the boat next to the dock (dock hand will not answer our calls) we are stuck - water is way too shallow for us to even be here but we are stuck a few ft from the dock at 12:37 PM. Nothing to do but wait for tide to raise so we eat lunch and wait. We know there will be another low tide later today and we are not feeling good about staying here so at 2:11 PM, we are free and have a spot reserved at Farley State Marina just a short distance. What a great decision - this is also known as the Golden Nugget Casino Marina at Atlantic City and we are happy to arrive at 2:20 PM. Excellent dockhand, long docks, amenities, casino, restaurants, - WOW - This is Serendipity. So it is time to clean up and head to the casino and restaurant. Big winner is Bob ($12.25) but then to celebrate he bought dinner at the casino. Rick Long is friend of marina manager (Nick LaRotonda) and before long Nick wants to comp our slip but Bob already paid and this place is worth more than the price. I love my G-men (Doug & Rick). I love traveling by boat and I am almost in tears with the thoughtfulness of our buddies (Green Hornet & Ricky Bobby).
