Invited by the wonderful crew of Emerald for a special day on Bustins Island.

We had first met in St Pierre and reconnected in Newfoundland and they kindly offered us a wealth of tips on cruising Maine culminating with a day at their home!

Talk about being showered with hospitality! From the morning dinghy rendezvous, to the private mooring, amazing lunch spread, ride to grocery in Freeport, home made granola gifts, trail adventures, fairy houses, and delicious dinner complete with homemaker blueberry cobbler!

The island itself is a very unique place. About 100 homes with no electricity. A perfectly peaceful location!
