Getting up close and personal with milking cows at a Dairy Farm stay near Dargaville, Northland. Rise and shine at 6am to put on our poop suits and join locals in milking the ladies. A humbling experience and a special treat as we learn a great deal about farming. NZ farmers are a talented bunch as they have developed unique crop growing/rotations to fully grass feed and grass finish their cattle. These natural methods produce some of the finest dairy we have ever tasted. They graze all along the lovely countryside, seemingly content and loved. The cows literally line right up for the milking. Kids jump in and help on the line as we trade our usual seasights/sounds/smells for those of the farming industry.
