Sportsmanship

Lovely Kiwi tradition to "host" the opposing team for a family style KAI or meal after a hard played game.
It is a special way to celebrate sportsmanship and come together to literally break bread. I found that it also serves as a reminder during the game that you can't (or shouldn't) take a cheap shot on someone who you will be sitting down with in an hour.
Reminds me of the days we heard about on Capitol Hill when Senators would argue all day but then meet at Old Ebbitt Grill to share company. Those days seem long gone but we hope and pray there will be a time of peace at home and in the world.
We also have learned about a chip bunty, which is white bread, butter, ketchup, chips (fries) in between another piece of bread. Ugh, must be the British influence! :)
