We have been greatly blessed to meet the Guiney Family in Fairlie. The Kiwi-Cross and Irish Clans have added a unique flavor to our NZ Farm Experience!

Invited into their homes as family, tonight we were fortunate to join them in commemorating the yearly remembrance of Mary Guiney, one of the matriarchs of the family.

The evening started with a special family prayer service, then a lovely meal, and ending with a night of laughing/dancing/joy. It was a special moment when all the kids were huddled on the floor by the fireplace, playing games and having a hoot of a time, with her photo just next to them--as if she was joining them in spirit.

I was reminded of the many ancestors that have come before us, caring and praying for us with unending love over many years.

May God bless them and remember us all as we look forward to a joyful reunion together in paradise.
