Flight of Aghavni

a Topjian family traveling journey

Winter Solstice

Aghavni II waits patiently in her slip for spring.

I took a visit up to the marina this weekend to run the systems, engine, genset, pumps, furlers, winches, thruster, windlass, etc.

It's been about 6 weeks since we left her and it was great to get back and check on things. Moisture is the primary concern so I wanted to check on her condition. We're running dehumidifiers through the winter here in NZ and overall the boat interior was in perfect shape, just as we left her.

Mark, the marina manager, is checking on her weekly, as well as Stu (from previous post).

We've recently passed the winter solstice here, so the good news is that temps should be on their way up now, rather than down!
