3-days to go
27 May 2007
It's like summer here........ temps in the 30'sC. The weather is still a bit busy but seems to be calming down a bit. When I now look at the long range forecast GFS model it looks like light winds all the way across except for a couple of days at the start. I just wish those long waves in the 500mb chart would start to flatten out and move north.
The ever present list has now dwindle to the point where we can go, Now if we want.... mind you it would be without testing the water maker and without the new C-Map charts and the new dodger and bimini. But beyond that we are in pretty good shape. These will all happen today and tomorrow and Tuesday, I hope.
Bonnie has most of the provisions aboard and I think she will post more about that monumental task. Suffice to say we have 31 days of food aboard....
Dave was a great help for 2 days and we were able to spend time on the parachute anchor, the spinnaker, trysail and storm jib. all are looking pretty good. The storm trysail now is packed on the track at the foot of the mast with sheets attached and ready to launch.
I am off to the boat in a few minutes to meet Bill and finish the warranty check on the engine.
It's starting to get exciting!
