What's a better way to start America's birthday than hearing grandkids giggling in the aft bunk? That was followed by pancakes on the boat and a short trip out to Richmond Island for a swim. Not sure who enjoyed the trip most, maybe Riley. All had a great time, learned that Maine water is much cooler than the pool, and finding sand dollars on the beach was as good as gold. I even managed to get a new zinc on the propellor shaft since the water was so calm.
We watched fireworks from the boat, Even though we weren't real close, he kids had a great time (Almost as much as we did watching them), the spent their remaining ounces of energy marveling at the fireworks. Shortly afterward, despite all the noise and supplemental fireworks going off, slept soundly through it all.
