Day trip to Isla Mujeres

We picked Grant up on the dock at 7:00 and were headed to Isla Mujeres by 8:30. The first half of the trip we motored due to light air but the second half we were able to sail. The water in the Caribbean is so beautiful. We passed Cancun on our way and arrived at Isla Mujeres in the late afternoon. Between Cancun and Isla Mujeres Austin caught a baracuda. We decided to stay at Marina Paraiso during our stay here. It is a little marina that is very reasonable. Once docked we said our farewells to Grant and headed to town. Isla Mujeres is a great little town. The island is very small and although tourism has found this little island it is still quaint and feels like Mexico. The marina has a pool, ice, laundry services, lounge with TV and wifi. Town is about a 10 minute walk or a $1.50 taxi ride. Tom is the owner of Marina Paraiso and invited us to a party at the Marina on Saturday and offered us a golf cart for a day to see the island and offered to take Austin on a fishing trip on Sunday. We decided to leave on Monday weather permitting.
