Martin arrived last night and we pushed off from Myrtle Beach this morning a little after 8pm. We completed the last 6-7 miles of the "Rockpile" and made our way under the Socastee Swing Bridge and into the beautiful Waccamaw River which was a delight after navigating the Pine Island Cut through the Myrtle Beach area. The Waccamaw is wide and scenic and we had a delightful day on the water.

But the real treat came when we pulled into Georgetown and found fresh seafood being sold right off the boats at Independent Seafood. We quickly tied up at their dock and within minutes left with a pound of schucked oysters, 2 pounds of shrimp, 2 pounds of scallops and a pound and a half of grouper. All of which was swimming just a few short minutes ago.

What a fiest we're going to have over the next couple of days and at a small portion of normal prices. Eat your hearts out.
