Tall Ships depart Savannah

The Pride of Baltimore under full sail.
From our vantage point on the Savannah River we watch the parade go by. It was a gorgeous day and we relaxed in the sun.
We were as far off from the channel as we could be so as not to infringe the day's regulations about being no closer than 400 yards to any tall ship. As the parade continued so the tide went out and before long we realised that we were in just 6.5ft of water - another twelve inches and we would be aground.
As the last tall ship passed we started our engine and edged back into deeper water for the journey back to base.
