We said goodbye to Garrett in Cadiz and wished him well on his continued travels. Sam and I are now experimenting with the sleep deprivation of sailing 2 up. We have now entered the Med and are enroute to Athens with the possibility of a stop in Sardinia to rest if need be.
After Cadiz, a quick 2 night stop at the Alcaidesa Marina in La Linea, Spain, across the runway from Gib for a trip to Morrisons to reprovision and haircuts, then back on the water in 25 knot winds on the tail. Alexian made great time down the Costa del Sol of Spain all the way to Cabo de Gata, then the winds died down and turned 180 onto the nose and are forecast to stay that way for the next 3 days.
As we motor along we've been able to tidy up, get a few boat chores done and enjoy a smooth ride for a change. Yesterday we had Chocolate ice cream crepes for breakfast and today the sunrise was spectacular.
So far so good.
Best wishes to all from Dave and Sam
