glassing inside the bilge
07 August 2014
Keith and Manuel have been working on the interior section of the boat. My own style of work is hurry up and get it done. These two are all about getting it done right, put down a layer of glass, resin, roll it out, fit gusset plates and ribs, cut more glass, resin and grinding. I'm a little worried that he's not charging enough. I don't want to pay more than is fair but I don't want to pas less than is fair either. They're doing a lot of riding back and forth to Bridgeton everyday for a job he didn't have to take. I contacted the insurance company because my policy just renewed. I sent the premium in but then it occurred to me that they recently paid for a boat that was a total loss. Now how are they going to insure it again? They informed me that if it was repaired by a professional and not by me that they would insure it again. I have enough documentation to prove this repair is going to make the boat better than ever before.
