Moving North
24 February 2014 | Marsh Harbour
Partly cloudy and 78f
We left Little Harbour and Pete's Pub and art gallery to coincide with high tide at 12:15 and exited the bay with no hassles whatsoever. Next destination Tilloo island where we anchored between Lubber's Landing and Tilloo. We arrived around 2:30 and decided to not launch the dinghy until the next day. Brian and Carol headed over to the Lubber' Landing restaurant and they were told that the Hope Town Folk Festival would be starting their sing fest at 1 the next day. We all headed over for lunch as we expected the place to be hopping and it was. Luckily Bunky and Carol headed over early and our table was ring side to the singers.
One of the singers was none other than Jango's son who happens to be Bo Jango's son. Next an Australian youngish girl who is a song writer for Faith Hill, the next singer had the #1 country hit in NA which quickly became the #1 pop hit in 2012. Next in line wrote a few songs for Ron Hawkins all these folks les than 35 years and what a great shot they put on for a solid 2 hours.
In addition the food was great and the beer nice and cold.
It is currently 10:45 and we leave in 15 minutes (tide thing again) for Marsh Harbour where we have reserved 3 slips for at least 3 days. Big blow coming through on Wednesday.
