All Back Home... For Now

28 May 2007 | Beautiful Northern Lower Michigan
Amy
We arrived back home last Sunday, safe & sound. The biggest event of the whole flights (2) back, was carrying that bright orange EPIRB case through the airport securities! After getting through security in Houston, one lady security guard who took the EPIRB over to a separate check area to examine it thoroughly, admitted we gave her her "scare for the day"! We tried to be as open and upfront as possible, but it's obvious that's not something they see go through very often! But we made it, it was at that point that I thought for sure there goes more money, because she's for sure not going to allow this through and we'd have to pay the company for the whole kit and caboodle, not just the rental fee!
Dad and Mark arrived yesterday, and they were very glad to be back to the cooler and much drier air as opposed to the 95 d and extreme humid condidtions of El Salvador.
Sunshine is being well watched over by Santos and his crew as they continue to do other repairs and clean up on her per our agreement.
Now we wait, it's pretty much out of our hands as to when we will fly down, it will all depend on when the house sells. We continue to clean out things we don't want, store those that we do, and finish up on some cosmetic work like trim around new windows, etc. that needs done for us to be ready to turn it over to it's new owners when the time come...
