It's been a beautiful couple of Spring days here, sunny & 50's to near 60, which has been a much welcomed relief from all the cold & snow. It's suppose to cool back down tomorrow, but at least not the blustery, bone-chilling temps it has been.
Jim & I are both heading down to Panama! We leave from Detroit on the 27th. We ended up having to take 2 separate flights to Houston, mine is at 8:30 in the a.m., Jim's at 11:15. Since we booked mine separately, several days later, his flight was already full. It amazes me sometimes how UN-accomadating the airlines are. He tried, to no avail obviously, to get us on the same flight w/out paying huge sums of charges, by simply changing his flight to mine. At least we're on the same International flight.
I want to include the Panama canal webcam now so 1) I don't forget to do it, and get gone. And 2) so if you want you can get it up and get familiar w/ the site ahead of time. We are planning on going through the canal as early as April 1st. But will keep you posted. The webcam website is:
www.pancanal.com/eng/photo/camera-java.html It updates every 10 seconds or so, and there are 3 different locations. Coming from the South, to follow us through, start at the top L, on the Miraflores locks.
