We've got great sailing conditions beginning yesterday. At night, even in easy weather , we keep our life jackets on and stay tethered to the boat.We and the boat are starting to dry out now. Our rain gear has been worth it's weight in gold. Our farthest east waypoint at 145 degrees west is in our sights. From there we'll turn more south, heading directly toward Tahiti. You should know that with very few acceptions we are hand steering the boat all the way, (most now-a-days would let the auto pilot do the steering). We've determined which of the smaller gear have been indispensible: headlamps, a personal cup/mug and Jolly Ranchers! It's also nice to have a pillow. We have no waterr maker, as most would have nowadays, so even though we're fine we can't wait to capture some rain. Should be soon. Adam reeled in a beautiful mahimahi fish this morning so it's fish for dinner tonight. The only other fish landed was the flying fish that flew into Toomey's face! Wish you all could see these amazing sunrises and sunsets. Much aloha, Paul
