As you can see from our current position we are still in Tortola, BVI. Road Town was convenient but the anchorage sucked. Very rolly. We have now found quite possibly, in our opinion, the best anchorage in the whole of the Virgin Islands. Its name you ask? Marina Cay. It is a wonderfully protected/all weather anchorage with good holding. But what makes it even better is the FREE, FAST and STRONG wi-fi signal that we are able to enjoy from the comfort of our boat. So grand, that we were able to Skype family yesterday, at length, with video!

We've been told there is a not to be missed Fireball Full Moon throw down tonight on the beach. Its hosted by, Aragorn, a local native artist.
Fireball Full Moon.
Another contrast (for us) from cruising last season in the Bahamas. It seemed that we hardly could be bothered to do any boat projects apart from those that HAD to be done. This season, so far, we seem to be busy little bees doing this, doing that... To what we reason this new effort: maybe because Anastasia is in such great shape after our summer of labor and we have an image to uphold? Or, maybe we are in Charter Boat Land and haven't found many other Cruisers to Happy Hour with? Who knows? But she is lookin' great!
Recently, we have been sewing fiends: minor sail repair and working on the mainsail cover where it has chafed on the boom gallow. It needed a quick alteration and is now ship shape. Also, our "garage" has a new door! Like many other boats we use our quarter berth for storage and it is not always pretty. So to remedy this eyesore we sewed a nifty fabric door to contain the mayhem.

An uncommon north wind is predicted for Thursday allowing us to potentially make it to St. Martin on a single tack...but with an anchorage like this it may be hard to break free. The passage is contingent on a late-season tropical depression/low formation in the SE Caribbean. We will keep a weather eye out.
