Caneel Bay

After a fairly rough crossing we ended up at the north end of Caneel Bay. The next Bay over is Rockefeller’s old house which was destroyed by Irma. The cottages on the beach where we are at are nothing but shells. But the bay is still pretty. We took the dinghy over to Henley Cay and brought it up on shore. Then we snorkeled in the bay. It was the nicest we have seen this year with fan coral still around. There are two mooring balls and we will try one of those next time. Kim also snorkeled around honeymoon point and saw lots of fish including an eagle ray and a nurse shark. The weather is strange. Nice for a bit, then the wind picks up, it rains and then is nice again. Seems to repeat about every hour. Our friends said they clocked 47 mph on St Thomas but we didn’t get that much here. We are tucked into a nice secure bay for the evening with only one other boat. Happy birthday to our friend Kathy. Can’t wait for you guys to visit again
