Dominica is the only island that Columbus would recognize....says one of our cruising guides. Indeed... in many ways but he was definetly not met by such a friendly, happy and proud people as we have found since dropping the hook here.

This place is Eden. A true tropical paradise. We are so very lucky to be able to experience it and then come home and sleep in our own bed on Angel.

We have been guided through old (slightly active) volcanoes under cinnamon trees, past yam farms, old sugar plantations, along black sand beaches and under bay trees. Greenery is everywhere. Fresh fruits of every variety color and shape grown on topography that ranges up to five thousand feet....Majestic. Rainy and sunny. Rings my bell....as they say in that song....
