Home and boating

I know I haven’t posted in awhile, but I have a good excuse. We settled in to our home and the girls took no time to get back in tough with all their land friends. I got started with setting up all the Doctor visits for Lew and the check up for the girls. We had to clean the garage left over from last year’s mess. And Lew just had to have a boat for cruising the Puget Sound while we are home for the summer. The Television has been the biggest attention hog. Lew and I were starting to become regulars on the couch for all the shows we missed over the winter. I know this all sounds like not a good excuse, and you are right it isn’t. OK I have been lazy.
Lew bought a 28ft Chris Craft and a good friend of ours named it Pond Pirate. The name fit the small boat just right. We have been enjoying the nice weather here in Washington for the last week. I was beginning to worry with all the rain. I was starting to rust. Pond Pirate is currently located in Cornett Bay on Whidbey Island’s north end. It’s free moorage so it is a good fit for us.
These past few days have been hard on Fernando, Gabby and Rosie. Their brother Ramon drowns swimming in the river at Gold bar. The services will be next week. Fernando is going to stay with Grandma to help out in this difficult time. Rosie and Gabby are upset but we are trying to keep them distracted with lots of activities. I wanted to post an update so you didn’t think we dropped off the earth. After things settle down I will post an update the end of July. I am missing Mexico already.
