Isla la Peña

Moving slowly north from La Cruz. We left the
La Cruz anchorage on Tuesday, February 14, sailed a short but boisterous ride to Punta de Mita. Then on Wednesday up to Jaltemba and an anchorage off Isla la Peña. Thursday found us trying to get into Chacala, but the strong westerly wind made the anchorage there untenable. So I continued on to Matanchen Bay, arriving there at sunset, or 1800. Tom on Eagle had tried anchoring in Chacala but he soon weighed anchor and followed me to Matanchen.
