Fiji is the first country that we had sailed Annecam to that we had been to before. We loved Fiji on our first visit some years ago and we still love the place. It was very moving to have the staff at the Vuda Marina sing the farewell song to us as we were about to sail away from Fiji, this passage to Vanuatu took just over 2 days to complete the 480 nautical miles.
You will see the very active volcano, Mt Yasur erupting on Tanna Island. We were invited in to meet the people in Natanu Village in Waisisi Bay where we were treated like we were royalty, this was a very humbling experience for us, we still have all of the handcrafts that were presented to Annie and we are still removing the volcanic ash that seemed to get into everything.
Please excuse the occasional jump in the video as the computer was having some real issues at the time that I put this one together.
