Back on our anchor
27 November 2016 | Tangalooma, Moreton Bay QLD
Cam "H"
After 217 nautical miles from Fraser Island to Moreton Bay we are now anchored for the night at Tangalooma on Moreton Island. The sail itself was a real mixed bag, we started out with just over 20 knots of wind almost on the nose as we sailed from Fraser up around the Break Sea Spit and the same 20 knots of wind had us sliding along at 9.5 to 10 knots until we got to Indian Head on the East side of Fraser. The wind dropped down to 2 knots leaving us with the leftover seas, this happened right on sundown and lasted until dawn, we then had a bit of breeze that finally filled in for the last few hours of the passage.
Annecam is holding up extremely well, we have not had a breakage so far this year, there have been a few small cosmetic jobs that we have managed to keep on top of but nothing major.
We plan to catch up with one of our daughters ‘Cindy’ and one of our sons ‘Dave’ over the next few days. I have not seen Cindy for several years so it will be good to catch up.
Photo is just one of many of these beautiful creatures that came to play on our bow wave on this passage.
Life is sweet and life is easy on board Annecam.
