We have not moved from our mooring in the Brisbane River, in front of the Botanical Gardens. We could not get any closer to the middle of the city if we tried, everything is just a short walk from the dinghy dock, there is a laundry and shower facility about ten paces from the dock and there are supermarkets and all of the shopping one could wish for within walking distance. We were greated by a fireworks display on our first night here, we asked and no one knows what they were for, we said that they were to celebrate our arrival haha.
Annie’s son Dave came and had dinner on board with us a couple of days ago and my youngest daughter Cindy came and had lunch with us yesterday. It was great to catch up with the two of them.
My cousin Debbie came by yesterday and waived hello as she works not that far from where we are, she is heading to New Zealand for a few days and plans to catch up on her return.
There are a few cruisers who we have kept in touch with who we have met on our journey who will be paying us a visit in the coming days, so it is all happening on board Annecam.
