Another safe landing

We are now tucked inside Port Stephens after a tongue in cheek "cracking sail".
The boat speed was good but the ride was a little on the bumpy side of nice, we finished up sailing an additional 27 nautical miles looking for a better angle on the wind and the waves, we turned a 220nm passage into a 247nm slog. We had several waves break over the coach roof and we were over 50nm offshore at one stage before we changed course towards our destination.
So here we are anchored inside Port Stephens in a nice bay called Salamanda. It will be an early night for both of us as we did not get anywhere as much sleep as we should have last night, it usually takes about three days to get into the groove while on passage, these short overnight passages do not allow the time required to get into that groove.

In life bizarre travel plans are the dancing lessons of life.
