Leaving Port Stephens
28 December 2016 | Port Stephens, NSW
Cam & Annie "H"
Once again we are on our way as we have a small forecast weather window to make the passage from Port Stephens to Sydney Harbour. It is 0630 as I write this blog and our ETA in Watson Bay, Sydney Harbour is 2030 (8:30pm).
There is heaps of boat traffic around as we leave, most are trailer fishing boats and as they log into Marina Rescue they are giving their destination as the Car Park. The Car Park is a well-known fishing spot out wide where there are a lot of marlin and tuna caught each year. It also good to see that there are quite a few Bar Crusher boats amongst the fleet heading out, we used to own a Bar Crusher that went by the name of Sea Hare and we do have lots of fond memories of our time in that boat.
Last night we along with Deanne and Paul off Graf Spee were invited over to a catamaran by the name of Bella Vita by Kingsley and his wife Michelle for dinner, they had Valerie and Richard their friends as guests on board, it was a great evening sharing stories and a beautiful paella made by Michelle, I’m sure we will get the chance to return the favour in the not too distant future.
The photo is the sun rising as we leave Port Stephens.
In life bizarre travel plans are the dancing lessons of life.
