Annie and Cam "H"
It has almost been one month since we have had a look back at where we were on this day but as nice as it is to look back at our past, tomorrow is where the adventure is for us on Annecam.
On this day in 2012; We were still waiting for our registration papers to arrive from Australia, we had met most of the other cruisers on our pontoon in the Marina Dalmatia. It was almost the League of Nations as they were from Slovenia, Norway, Holland, Germany, Italy, England, France and Wonthaggi. If you are reading this Ronni, Rowenda, Eina, Jost, Susan, Louise and Catarina, they were fun times had by all.
On this day in 2013; This was our second-year sailing in Croatia, we had Shauna as a guest on board with us, we were anchored at Skradin and had spent the day exploring the magnificent water falls in the KRKA National Park, Shauna and Annie were feeding cute little white swan cygnets off the back of Annecam and were attacked by their very protective mother. They were good times to share with friends.
On this day in 2014; We were in the Marina Villasimius on Sardinia, we were getting Annecam ready to sail to Menorca in the Balearics, we had a swim on the little beach behind the marina and had met Gary the Australian skipper and the crew of the Black Swan a beautiful sailing catamaran over 90 feet long.
On this day in 2015; We had just felt the earth move as there was a 6.5 earth quake just to the west of the Island of Bequia in the Caribbean, we were lucky as there was no tsunami as a result. We were heading south to Grenada for the Atlantic Hurricane season.
On this day in 2016; We were anchored inside the lagoon on the beautiful Island of Bora Bora, we had just cleaned Annecam inside and out including a good scrub under the water line. After lunch, we took our dinghy to Bloody Mary’s a very well-known location in the Pacific Ocean, we even purchased Bloody Mary T-shirts while there.
On this day 2017; We are anchored in Cid Harbour, a very nice bay on the west side of Whitsunday Island and we have been cleaning Annecam inside and out including under the water line, same jobs in a different location.
We still have to pinch ourselves as we have sailed well over 25,000 nautical miles (45,000 kilometres) and cleared into and out of 52 different countries in just over 5 years but as I stated at the start of this post tomorrow is where the adventure begins.
“In life, forget all the reasons it won’t work and believe the one reason that it will.”
