Annie and Cam "H"
Malta to Tunisia via Lampedusa Island, this was our second passage for 2014 and the first time for us in North Africa. The seas were nice and calm due to the lack of wind but Annie enjoyed this sail.
Yasmine Hammamet, Tunisia was a pleasant surprise for us. We had not done a lot of research beforehand and came with an open mind. The clearance process was a little arduous with many a trip back and forth with the different officials but once we were cleared in it was all good.
We know that due to recent events our Government advisory sites are saying that it is not a safe place for westerners but at the time of our visit we found that the people were extremely friendly and helpful while we were there.
We are taking the time to re-make most of our videos, so we have a record of where we have been and how we got there.
The photo is a snapshot from the video.
"In life, it is not the critic who counts, not the one who points out how the strong have stumbled or where the doer of good deeds could have done it better, the credit belongs to the ones out there doing it, who's face is often marred by salt, sweat and sometimes blood, the ones who strive valiantly who errs and comes up short again and again who knows great enthusiasms the great devotions who spends it all in a worthy cause who at best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement and who at worst if they fail at least they have failed trying, so their place will never be with those cold and frightened souls who would never venture as they will never know the joy of success or the sting of defeat".
