23 May 2019 | Burnett River, Burnett Heads, Queensland, Australia.
Cam "H" | Warm and clear, wind SSE 15
This is what we all got up to on Lady Musgrave, fishing, fixing, exploring, swimming with turtles and the passage back to Bundaberg with the Hambrecht’s, Judy, Brett, Britt, Jack and Casey. Watch the video to see for yourself how much fun they had on Annecam.
This was part of Britt and Jack’s honeymoon, check out their Instagram @bold_notold to follow them on their own adventure of a lifetime, these two lovely young adventurers will surprise you what they are up to.
The sail back was a real slog as the wind was forecast to go to the east giving us a nice beam reach all the way but it stayed south and that is where we wanted to go, we finished up sailing 76 nautical miles tacking our way back into a sometimes gnarly sea state making for slow progress, it took us just over thirteen hours with an average SOG (speed over ground) of just under six knots.
Thank you to The Lady Musgrave Experience as Brett gave us the use of the Sleep on the Reef mooring, the reef dive boat, Sea Cat for fishing and for the provisions delivered to us on the Reef Empress the tour boat that brings the tourists out to the reef.
It was quite a job putting this video together, with several cameras and phones taking shots and capturing the many moments from all directions we ended up with several hours of footage to edit to the finished product.
Keep watching this space for more.
