Anne
Good Morning! It is a lovely day. Right now we are transiting McKay reach, between Grenville Channel and Frasier Reach on way to Bishop Hot Springs. We rose early and were underway by 7 am after mooring in beautiful Lowe Inlet. We traveled over 8 hours yesterday, but the water was so calm, and the current was to our advantage, we weren't the usual dog-tired we are after such a long day. Rob got my kayak down and I spent a couple of hours paddling around the bay while he set the crab traps and did what he does on the boat in his spare time, putter about.

Before that we spent two nights at the Yacht Club in Prince Rupert. Not a very "yachty" yacht club, but the shower was warm and long. Prince Rupert is a friendly place, with all the amenities a travelling cruiser needs, although I must say they are rather proud of their liquor. We replenished our stores of fresh food and frozen meat, Rob got stuck with the laundry duty while I shopped. Apparently he bitched to everyone he met about that because people came up to me in the Safeway and asked "are you off the boat from Seward, we met your husband at the laundry and he told us you made him do the clothes." Waahh waahh!

Did I mention we have posted a for sale sign on the Lady Anne? I think we are ready to consider the live-aboard option for a while and both recognize that though we love her, and now have a lot more faith in her, the head-room has become a real issue, in addition to the lack of a second stateroom/office for me. I mean you could trace a map on top of poor Rob's head for all the scabs and bruises. So if you know anyone who needs a hell-bent for stout, economical, sea-steady 40 footer, let me know. We figure it will take a while in this economy, but what the heck, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Tune in next time for the report on the Dungies we caught in the traps, the hot springs and a full report on the boat we covet.
