Had to stop anti-inflammatories before surgery, but doctor substituted a pretty good morphine derivative. Since worst discomfort is from torn meniscus, NSAIDs didn't do much good anyway. Knee now big as a house, but who cares? The pain's a bane, but mainly on the wane. Don't see dancing fairies and haven't giggled insanely, so effects must all be directed at knee. Perhaps there will be even better drugs during recovery. One can hope - a higher level of consciousness may be in the offing. Expect to use the occasion for guiltlessly enjoying one of favorite deadly sins: sloth.
Finished up a few odd jobs this weekend: replaced heavily corroded forward navigation light, re-rigged renovated boom vang and attempted to tidy the place up with everything in its place. This last is a perpetual work-in-progress that never sees improvement despite significant effort. Every compartment with its contents is incorporated into a searchable spreadsheet. This should help. One might be surprised at how seldom it does. Of course one assumes that any changes in contents are recorded. A logical, organized, non-procrastinating mindset would be most helpful in this regard. Ah ha! you may say if familiar with opsec (operations section.. me), this is be where the system begins to break down. Not at all. Quality of original organization is true culprit and it's inevitably downhill from there. OCD Jan could have it all organized in a trice if turned loose, but then operations wouldn't even be able to locate the few things it can now. It's a quandary.
This entry will be sent tonight as there's no telling when next effusion will occur. There should be plenty of time in near future for writing, but inspiration or sapience could take awhile to return (this makes the dubious assumption of course that a previous condition better than drug induced haze is possible). With any luck at all quality of drugs will be a determining factor. The longer it takes the better off everyone will be.
