Incongruous Behavior

Social media is the spawn of Satan. However, in a moment of weakness after fighting the insanity for years, but finding myself on the friend request page of Facebook, clicked on most of the familiar names. No doubt missed a few (there seemed to be hundreds), but devil wine was at fault both for the failures and for doing it in the first place. A more coherent me would have continued to say no. Friending everyone is highly unlikely to further encourage actual usage, so please do not feel offended if you never hear from me again. I love each and every one of you like a brother or a sister (at least the ones the family still talks to), but just don't want to publish what color my skivvies are on any particular day... except possibly if they're red at the same time as downing a couple bottles of zinfandel. That would be special.
After rewiring bilge pump on buddy Angela's fourteen foot bay boat, then getting a buzz from a celebratory can of Coors NA, came back to marina with kit for shower onshore before getting soaked dinking back to Anthem. For an enclosed, shallow bay, Boca Ciega can kick up quite a sea. Had to rinse off salt once aboard, but at least the slime had been removed.

As often seems to happen, a line of weather that beat up US Southeast broke apart and separated as it approached Tampa Bay. Sarasota, south, and Tarpon Springs, north, often get hammered, but Pinellas and Hillsborough counties (St. Pete & Tampa) are spared. This time the thing mostly evaporated in the Gulf before arrival and we had no rain and little wind. Could have used the common cliche, but nobody dodges a bullet, they're moving way too fast. Mostly it's just a lousy shot. Late morning now and sunny with no weapons in sight.
Planned to use rainy, dreary day to disassemble watermaker Clark pump for repair, make photos of fridge thermostat for confirming correct sensor to order and remove cracked and leaking forward head in advance of replacement arriving Wednesday. Now have to squander a beautiful day doing those things rather than fritter it away in sloth. Life could be so much fun if it weren't bedeviled by work.
