"Canada Day"

Sunny with Little Wind
Portland to Freeport (13nm)
We departed Portland and headed for Brewer Marina (very nice place) in Freeport on a sunny beautiful morning. Very little wind but lots of fishermen and lobster pots along this 13nm stretch! Very nice cruising grounds - every island has nice homes or cottages, lots of local boats.
Day 1 - laundry (6 loads!), long overdue. Later that evening, we celebrated "Canada Day" on Brewer Marina deck where we met Kathie and Stephen (m/v Kathie M).
Day 2 - walked to Freeport Outlet Shopping District (2.7miles). No purchases but Starbucks and some groceries. Dinner on board and an early night - long day tomorrow.
