Foggy, Thick Fog but Sun Periods on Arrival
Rogues Roost to RNSYS (28nm)
It's Monday morning and our last day of our year long journey. We started with a nice leisurely breakfast as we waited out the thick fog. The forecast was sunny periods but that never materialized. Instead it was fog with 1/2 mile visibility and 5 - 10 knots of southwest wind right on our beam.

On coming around Chebucto Head we were greeted with clearing skies & a little bit of sun. 14h00 we are now alongside our RNSYS slip with some of our Halifax family: Lesley, Jenna, Garry and friend Donnie welcoming us home. Half an hour later, we were sipping champagne and sharing stories.
Its good to be home!!!

Mahone Bay to Rogues Roost (34nm)
Count down is on.....one more sleep and then home it is.
Nice sunny day with no wind and blue skies was the start of our day. Cruised to Oak Island to check our old spot, then around South Shore Marine, contined to Back Harbour and Chester where Heather Robertson was competing in a Bluenose race and finally to Rouges Roost arriving in fog & rain.

Lunenburg to Mahone Bay (19nm)
Easy trip to Mahone Bay - a little extra swell and waves until behind Cross Island. Nice cruise by Backman’s Island and into Mahone Marina. We tied up on north end of wharf, floating dock, tried to get power but no luck so we ran our generator. Next day it was a “Wax-on, Wax-off” day on the interior wood as well a good wash-down on the exterior. Later we treated ourselves to dinner at “Mug & Anchor” and enjoyed some Live Entertainment. Afterwards we walked the dock to meet our neighbors Brent & Connie on m/v “Spirit of Deep Cove” and had a couple of brewskies.

Trouble!

m/v "No Place I'd Rather Be" in trouble.
Family (Dwayne, Lisa & Cole) first outing with their new boat turned into a nightmare!
High seas & strong winds and a rope around their prop - YIKES! Boat & family ended up being towed into Lunenburg. Next day they leave only to return. Water in the bilge and a lot of water! GET RID OF THOSE BANANAS!!
After a few hours of teamwork, "No Place I'd Rather Be" is ready to go again.

Safe travels and hope to see you again someday.
