Onboard "Jet-Lagged"

Lisbon

So we survived the overnight sail! No moon meant a really dark night and lots of use of the radar and AIS. And crossing our fingers as there seem to be fishing lines everywhere on this coast. We stayed a minimum of 10 nautical miles off the coast to avoid the worst of the fishing activities.

Good wind kept us going for all day and most of the night but we needed engines on at 2am as the wind dropped. A nice run with the treat of a large dolphin escort into the river mouth leading up to Lisbon!

We and Jack Pine have been staying at Oeiras Marina which is lovely. Freshly baked bread rolls delivered to the boat every morning! Love it.

Lisbon is a fascinating city with lots of history and friendly people. We met up with the crews of IP and Kiri Maia 2 in town for more tapas and wine, cannot get enough!

Had an excellent tuk-tuk tour of the old city today and we are now preparing Jet-Lagged for an early morning departure to Sines tomorrow. Should be windy so we expect a fast ride. Sines is a small fishing village so a big change from Lisbon.

Just have to stop Shannon playing chicken with the cargo ships...
