Yesterday we hiked to Chadaudiere Pool with Michelle and Dave from the boat Daniell Storey and Betty and Larry from Aquila. We got an early(ish) start. First we stopped by Betty’s favorite fruit and vege stand to make sure that Christine would be open when we returned in the afternoon so Betty (and the rest of us) could pick up some fresh eggs for dinner Before hopping on the bus to Bense we picked up fresh bread for lunch. Betty gifted us with mango per person.
Our destination was Chadaudiere Pool, but we chose to walk along the road a bit further down the main road to admire the views. We were rewarded with a good look at two Sissero parrots (aka Imperial parrot). They are not easy to see because they feed at tree top level, but our trail was on a ridge and we could see into the canopy.
We had a great swim in the pool. The water was very clear and the cool fresh water was very welcome. Here is a photo of Dave after a swim in the pool.
